Background
This gene encodes a member of the beta-transducin proteinfamily. Most proteins of the beta-transducin family are involved inregulatory functions. This protein is possibly involved in someintracellular signaling pathway. This gene is deleted inWilliams-Beuren syndrome, a developmental disorder caused bydeletion of multiple genes at 7q11.23.
