Other Names | MARVEL domain-containing protein 2, Tricellulin, MARVELD2, TRIC |
Target/Specificity | The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP9219b was selected from the C-term region of human MALD2. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay. |
Format | Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed. |
Storage | Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C. |
Precautions | This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Name | MARVELD2 (HGNC:26401) |

Synonyms | TRIC |
Function | Plays a role in the formation of tricellular tight junctions and of epithelial barriers (By similarity). Required for normal hearing via its role in the separation of the endolymphatic and perilymphatic spaces of the organ of Corti in the inner ear, and for normal survival of hair cells in the organ of Corti (PubMed:17186462). |
Cellular Location | Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell junction, tight junction. Note=Located at tricellular contacts. |
