KD-Validated Anti-TEAD1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody

Rabbit monoclonal antibody

  • WB - KD-Validated Anti-TEAD1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody AGI1289
Western blotting analysis using anti-TEAD1 antibody (Cat#AGI1289). Total cell lysates (30 µg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with anti-TEAD1 antibody (Cat#AGI1289, 1:5,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody respectively.

  • WB - KD-Validated Anti-TEAD1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody AGI1289
Western blotting analysis using anti-TEAD1 antibody (Cat#AGI1289). TEAD1 expression in wild type (WT) and TEAD1 shRNA knockdown (KD) HeLa cells with 30 µg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control. The blot was incubated with anti-TEAD1 antibody (Cat#AGI1289, 1:5,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody respectively.

  • ICC - KD-Validated Anti-TEAD1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody AGI1289
Immunocytochemical staining of HepG2 cells with TEAD1 antibody (Cat#AGI1289, 1:1,000). Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; TEAD1 was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor® 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Medium. Scale bar: 20 µm.

Protein Information
Name TEAD1
Synonyms TCF13, TEF1
Function Transcription factor which plays a key role in the Hippo signaling pathway, a pathway involved in organ size control and tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis. The core of this pathway is composed of a kinase cascade wherein MST1/MST2, in complex with its regulatory protein SAV1, phosphorylates and activates LATS1/2 in complex with its regulatory protein MOB1, which in turn phosphorylates and inactivates YAP1 oncoprotein and WWTR1/TAZ. Acts by mediating gene expression of YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ, thereby regulating cell proliferation, migration and epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) induction. Binds specifically and cooperatively to the SPH and GT-IIC 'enhansons' (5'-GTGGAATGT-3') and activates transcription in vivo in a cell-specific manner. The activation function appears to be mediated by a limiting cell-specific transcriptional intermediary factor (TIF). Involved in cardiac development. Binds to the M-CAT motif.
Cellular Location Nucleus.
Tissue Location Preferentially expressed in skeletal muscle. Lower levels in pancreas, placenta, and heart
