|Other Names||Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor, PGF receptor, PGF2-alpha receptor, Prostanoid FP receptor, PTGFR|
|Format||Liquid. Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||Add 50 ul of distilled water. Final anti-PTGFR antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. For longer periods of storage, store at 20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||PTGFR Antibody - C-terminal region is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Receptor for prostaglandin F2-alpha (PGF2-alpha). The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Initiates luteolysis in the corpus luteum (By similarity). Isoforms 2 to 7 do not bind PGF2-alpha but are proposed to modulate signaling by participating in variant receptor complexes; heterodimers between isoform 1 and isoform 5 are proposed to be a receptor for prostamides including the synthetic analog bimatoprost.|
|Cellular Location||Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.|
