Other Names | DNA ligase 1, DNA ligase I, Polydeoxyribonucleotide synthase [ATP] 1, LIG1 |
Target/Specificity | This LIG1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1-30 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human LIG1. |
Dilution | WB~~1:1000 |
Format | Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification. |
Storage | Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
Precautions | LIG1 Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Name | LIG1 |
---|---|
Function | DNA ligase that seals nicks in double-stranded during DNA repair (PubMed:30395541). Also involved in DNA replication and DNA recombination. |

Background
LIG1 encodes DNA ligase I, with functions in DNA replication and the base excision repair process. Mutations in LIG1 that lead to DNA ligase I deficiency result in immunodeficiency and increased sensitivity to DNA-damaging agents.
