Background
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the FKBP-typepeptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase (PPIase) family. Members ofthis family exhibit PPIase activity and function as molecularchaperones. A similar protein in mouse is located in theendoplasmic reticulum and binds calcium.
