- PROTOCOLS
- BACKGROUND
Primary Accession | Q5T4D3 |
---|---|
Clone Names | 100324258 |
Gene ID | 84899 |
---|---|
Other Names | Transmembrane and TPR repeat-containing protein 4, TMTC4 |
Target/Specificity | The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13825a was selected from the N-term region of TMTC4. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay. |
Format | Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed. |
Storage | Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C. |
Precautions | This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Name | TMTC4 (HGNC:25904) |
---|---|
Function | Transfers mannosyl residues to the hydroxyl group of serine or threonine residues. The 4 members of the TMTC family are O-mannosyl- transferases dedicated primarily to the cadherin superfamily, each member seems to have a distinct role in decorating the cadherin domains with O-linked mannose glycans at specific regions. Also acts as O- mannosyl-transferase on other proteins such as PDIA3. |
Cellular Location | Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Endoplasmic reticulum |
