- BACKGROUND
Description | WISP-3 is a member of the CCN family of secreted cysteine rich regulatory proteins. It is predominantly expressed in the adult kidney, testis and fetal kidney and weaker expression in placenta, ovary, prostate, small intestine, and skeletally-derived cells. WISP-3 is required for normal postnatal skeletal growth and cartilage homeostasis. Human WISP-3 is a 36.8 kDa protein containing 331 amino acid residues. It is composed of four distinct structural domains (modules); the IGF binding protein (IGFBP) domain, the von Willebrand Factor C (VWFC) domain, the thrombospondin type-1 repeat (TSP type-1) domain, and a C-terminal cysteine knot-like (CTCK) domain. |

BiologicalActivity | The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependant proliferation of the MCF-7 cell line. The expected ED50 for this effect is 0.2-0.3 µg/ml. |
Authenticity | Verified by N-terminal and Mass Spectrometry analyses (when applicable). |
Endotoxin | Endotoxin level is <0.1 ng/ µg of protein (<1EU/ µg). |
Protein Content | Verified by UV Spectroscopy and/or SDS-PAGE gel. |
Storage | -20°C |
Precautions | Recombinant Human WISP-3 is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
