Background
Lipocalin-2 (LCN-2), a secreted glycoprotein, is an adipokine that potentially connects obesity and its related adipose inflammation. Lipocalin-2 has also been implicated in a variety of processes including cell differentiation, tumorigenesis, and apoptosis. The recombinant human Lipocalin-2 consisting of 178 amino acids (a.a. 21-198, Accession# NP_00555) was expressed from E. coli and purified using proprietary technology.
